Levi Roots, British-Jamaican celebrity chef, television personality, reggae musician, and businessman, visited Europe’s largest bingo club – Beacon Bingo on Cricklewood Broadway – on Saturday July 1st, in recognition of International Reggae Day.
Levi, one of Dragons’ Den success stories, agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to pop in and meet his fans, give a cooking demonstration using his world-famous sauce and play guitar. Those attending also received a free signed book and a bottle of the Reggae Reggae sauce.
The event was one of the most successful celebrity appearances Beacon Bingo Cricklewood has staged, with over 1,000 taking the chance to meet the creator of the world famous Jamaican sauce.
Steve Lightfoot, Beacon Bingo Cricklewood’s general manager, commented: “An opportunity like this was too good to miss! Our customers were all incredibly excited to meet Levi, and to get him to put on cooking demonstration was just the icing on the cake – or should that be the sauce on the BBQ’ed chicken?!”
“The event was a huge success and we were delighted to see both regular and new customers having such a good time. All of which clearly shows if you want the most exciting Bingo experience in London, Beacon Bingo is the place to come!”
