Soap to say thanks for £650,000 CHIPS charity achievement
Soap star Steve McFadden, will be visiting Beacon Bingo on Weedon Road, Northampton on Saturday April 1st.
McFadden, who made his acting debut in 1988, has agreed to take time out of his busy filming schedule to pop in and say thanks for the hard-work both Beacon staff and customers have put into helping raise over £650,000 for the casino and gaming industry charity, CHIPS since 2005.
The CHIPS charity provides specialised wheelchairs for children and young people with severe mobility problems in the UK and Beacon Bingo, along with sister company, Cashino has now supplied more than 500 such chairs.
Paul Cooke, Beacon Bingo Northampton general manager, commented: “We can’t wait to welcome Steve to our club. The visit is already creating a lot of noise on social media as many of our customers have questioned whether the event is an April fools prank, but we can confirm that Steve really is visiting us!”
Photo opportunities with Steve McFadden will be available from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
