Technical Director – Birmingham Based

Do you have a proven track record in a senior technical role and are seeking a exciting and fresh new challenge? 

As part of its future development, Merkur Engineering are seeking a Technical Director to take over the reins at their site in Birmingham.

You will be responsible for shaping in-house service strategy along with developing robust processes and management tools which support the maintenance and repairs for technical equipment and IT infrastructure within our arcades.

In addition you will manage the  technical support team (c50 people) and work with key stakeholders across the business to reduce machine downtime, drive efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction, ensuring that business KPI’s are delivered to an exceptionally high standard.

Our ideal candidate will be a recognised leader within their field, able to inspire and manage a specialist team, and influence key stakeholders using their excellent communication skills and technical knowledge.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent (ideally engineering), and have a proven track record in a senior technical role. It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent organisational and project management skills, as well as being able to think strategically, whilst still able to review operational plans and tasks.

Your ability to drive continuous improvement, proven track record of building strong relationships at all levels and skilled at communicating appropriate expectations in relation to deliverables will guarantee your success in this high level opportunity.
