Weston-super-Mare woman chosen from 1700 colleagues as Employee of the Year

Local Weston-super-Mare woman Rachel Farrell has been singled out from 1700 colleagues as ‘Employee of the Year – 2016’ by national leisure services group Praesepe in recognition of her eye for business. Rachel is the venue manager at Praesepe’s Family Entertainment Centre in Weston-super-Mare, where she has worked for the past six years.

She earned the award after helping to open a new Entertainment Centre in Largs, Scotland, 417 miles away, which included training the new team and ordering equipment for the venue.

Praesepe’s senior team chose Rachel as the overall winner from all the 2016 employees of the month.

CEO of Praesepe, Nick Harding commented: “Rachel is an invaluable member of our team and her great attitude and hard work deserves to be recognised. She’s always willing to help and really went out of her way to make sure our new venue in Largs opened successfully. And after she returned to her normal job in Weston-Super-Mare, she continued to provide telephone support to the team in Largs to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.”

Nick Harding presented Rachel with £500 of high street vouchers, a special Employee of the Month badge and a certificate to mark her award, at a surprise ceremony at the Weston-super-Mare Golden Gate.

Nick added: “Rachel truly cares about our company, doing her very best to ensure the work she does enhances our excellent reputation and provides an enjoyable experience for the customers. She is vital to the organisation and we truly value her dedication and effort. It is employees like Rachel who make Praesepe one of the best places to work.”
